    Anthony Quin brings over 20 years of international experience in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors to Somerset. Anthony’s previous experience includes Managing Director of ASX listed Carabella Resources Limited and Chief Development Officer of BHP Billiton’s Metallurgical Coal business—the world’s leading metallurgical coal exporter. Anthony’s management experience includes business development, structuring, capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, capital projects and governance. Anthony was a founding Director of Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group, one of the world’s largest coal export terminals. Anthony earned his Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Monash University in Melbourne and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

  • James Graham


    James is a chemical engineer with close to 30 years’ experience in the coal industry internationally. He is a recognised industry expert in coal preparation and quality management. James held senior management roles over nine years with BHP including implementing major upgrades of both Goonyella Riverside Mine coal handling and preparation plants. James was principal processing engineer for Anglo American during the A$820M Lake Lindsay mine development project. He has broad industry experience through his advisory roles with A&B Mylec covering Australia, Mozambique, South Africa and Indonesia. James holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Degree from the University of Queensland and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

  • Dave Osborne

    Industry advisor

    Dave Osborne is a coal technology specialist with global experience in coal preparation, quality assurance and technical marketing through direct involvement in all facets of the subject area. He is internationally renowned and actively involved in international professional institutions and organisations. Dave’s experience includes Head of Coal Technology for Anglo American Coal and Group Manager of Coal Technology for Xstrata Coal. Dave has a Bachelor of Mining Engineering and PhD in Applied Science from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Dave also earned a postgraduate certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Pennsylvania State University.

  • Todd McDonald


    Todd has over 25 years in the coal and hard rock mining industries in operations and major project delivery. His experience includes design, development, operation and optimisation of coal handling and preparation systems globally. Most recently Todd played a lead role in commissioning of the 4,000 tph Moatize 2 coal handling and preparation plant in Mozambique, through to hand over to the operations team. Todd also implemented the design, construction and operation of the 1,250 tph Curragh coal preparation plant in the Bowen Basin. Todd’s operational experience includes management of Curragh and Oaky Creek operations including at operator, supervisor and senior management level. Todd has also consulted to major mining houses to tender and implement contract operations. Todd is a member of the Australian Coal Preparation Society and has all relevant mining qualifications for Coal Preparation Plant supervision and management.

    Pauline Sinclair is a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience.  She is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Business (Distinction) from the Queensland University of Technology.  Pauline has demonstrated experience in supporting private companies that focus on investing in innovation and have a broad geographic vision for growth.  Pauline was previously a key member of Grant Thornton’s Private Advisory practice, focusing on small to medium business and has had extensive CFO experience with a global industrial group specialising in the resources sector.
